Building Your First Website?

I was wondering: What web hosting to choose?

What do you think about:

- LunarPages
- MochaHost
- FatCow
- Hostmonster
- Bluehost

And what softwares to use / books to read when making your first website?

Thank you for all your answers/effort

I would recommend FatCow or Hostgator. Both them are excellent hosting services. I would only recommend Godaddy if you don’t want to much costumer service.

For web hosts, I think either GoDaddy or HostGator.
To learn web design, why get a book (for now), go to websites.
To learn almost everything about web design (with the exception of Flash, Java, and a JavaScript derivative: jQuery), visit http://www.w3schools.com
It has simple and descriptive tutorials on html, css, javascript, ajax, xml, php, asp, etc.
To learn other commands that w3schools does not cover, you may want to check out http://www.tizag.com/
To learn jQuery (which is EXTREMELY useful), visit http://www.jquery.com/
    Good Luck!

They are all very similar but I would recommend Fatcow, because they have a limited time offer right now (50% OFF, $44/year, only through a promo link), which makes it the best value for the money.

For the Fatcow website check: http://www.fatcow.com
For the promo link check: http://www.webhostingtable.com
